This season rocks so far.
Rooting for James and Russell (and Candice, just because she's a med student). But I also like JT and Colby.....ahhhhhhh.

I got to see the last 3/4 last night, but I missed that first challenge.
I laughed when they were joking about Amanda finally answering a Tribal question right. I hope she makes it to the end again. I don't know if I actually want her to win, though, because she's sort of like the Susan Lucci of Survivor (although even poor Susan finally won her Emmy).

I admit, I don't like the super physical challenges. If someone dislocates a shoulder and someone else breaks a toe (in three places, was that a joke??) in the first leg of the first challenge, there is something very wrong. I much prefer things like the immunity challenge that have a mix of physical with mental. And sure, the villains made it a bit mental the way they stalked people until a bag was found... but I'm thinking more of the mental challenges that don't involve broken bones or dislocated joints.
But... it is fun watching these long-time Survivors go at it again. I was surprised to see Jerri & Coach get along so well, and Rob & Sandra too. They just aren't people I would've pegged for teaming up. I hope the previews from next week don't mean that someone has an early exit? Not to spoil for those who haven't seen it, but I don't want to see that person go just yet.

Oh! I forgot about this part. DH and I were really confused, because at times his fellow Villains seemed to know of Russell and how villainous he is. In a way it seems only fair that they would give everyone a quick DVD of Russell snippets (since the entire season wasn't ready yet) so they knew what he was up to and how far he got, but at the same time... who said Survivor is about playing fair?

Well Russel is an arrogant bastard who probably told everybody he was final three. Also he had to be pretty bad to be on the villains team before his season even starts.

I kind of liked Coach too. It's almost as if he watched his season and realized what a doofus he looked like.
I like Sugar, but she had to be annoying as heck keeping everybody up and following poor Colby around the shelter like a puppy. I'm sure he's glad she's gone.

I had the thought today that it would have made it 10000x more interesting had they brought Amber back on the Heroes team. You have to admit - a husband and wife on opposite sides could turn out some really good footage.
I liked Coach, too. Although he was a little clueless when he said "How do you know what my Mantra is?" Umm...you were on TV? Do you remember that, or was that such an insignificant event in your action-packed life that it just slipped your mind??
I'm going back to watch the part I missed in a minute, so there could very well be an ETA on this post.

Which is what I thought happened. But then one of the girls (can't remember her name) who Russell approached said, "I know that he's saying the same thing to everyone else," and then started going on and on about how she was making a deal with the devil, but she didn't want to go against him. It seems as though they must know SOMETHING about how he played the game in Samoa.

I think Parvati has played the game enough to realize that if, on day one, someone's coming up to her saying the things Russell said, he's probably going up to others saying the same things. Plus, when you're on the villains tribe, you're probably safe in assuming that any deal you make is with a devil.

I'm back from watching the first 15-20 min.
In what I watched last night, I remember Sugar saying she lost her top - WOW DID SHE. Also, what was up with Courtney's (and Tyson's for that matter) boy-briefs as pants/shorts/bathingsuit???

Not to point out the obvious, but he's on the VILLAINS team...that's probably about all they need to know to come to that assumption.

Yeah - good idea having Amber back on the Heroes team! I bet they tried, but someone had to stay home with the kids.

They're millionaires - they can afford some childcare. Although that does get kinda sticky with the clause about not conspiring to share the money.

Hasn't Tyson always worn things like that?

Yes, exactly- that is one of the comments that made me question it. Not that they can't figure it out from a) being on the Villains tribe and b) Jeff pointing him out as one of the 10 most notorious villains (which theoretically all 10 are, but it seemed to be more pronounced the way he pointed it out to Russell), but it seemed like they knew something about him.
ETA: I would've loved to see Amber back too. Especially on opposing tribes! But their daughter is pretty young so I can understand not wanting to take both parents away for so long. Wasn't she only a few months old when they started filming? I think she was born in August.

That makes me like Rob even less. He has a newborn yet he is gone for over a month playing a game. Kind of F-ed up. Though actually I wonder, do the people who get kicked off early go home or are they sequestered until filming is over like TAR?
