^^^I agree. Tyson was much more of a villain than Coach... but really he was just an ass to compliment Coach's delusions. But I think in general they lump the crazies in with the mean ones and call them all villains. And some on this list could really go either way- I didn't think that Sandra or Parvati were all that villainous... I'd say they were just as bad as Cirie, who's a Hero- they would all lie or switch as needed but in general they were personable.
I would vote for Russell as villain over Coach because Russell did whatever he deemed necessary- so while there was a lot of strategy involved, some of what he did (like burning socks or emptying canteens) was just plain mean. Strategic, but mean.

Exactly - Coach sucks as a villain. He was a straining "try hard" with his warrior crap that he kept on spouting off.
There is another person who is missing and it was Rob Cesternino
(not Boston Rob). I think he was on the one that Jenna won, Survivor "Amaz0n". He was good at scheming like Russell - he should have been in there.
Coach and Randy need to just go away.
If you don't remember who Rob Cesternino was, here is a visual aid - http://www.survivorfever.net/s6_contestants.html

Rob would be a good one, and he was funny. And I agree- Africa and Amaz0n were two of my favorite seasons, but I rarely see anyone other than Ethan & Jenna.
Side note, Amaz0n's Jenna was one of the first sorority women I saw on tv after I joined Kappa (2002). I think it was the first NPC I read up on after Pi Phi (Monmouth Duo) that wasn't on my campus. So as silly as it sounds, ZTA has always been a little extra special to me because of her! Go reality tv.
ETA: the way certain website names are auto-linked here is driving me nuts. Especially when I don't mean the Seattle-based online retailer, but a jungle in Brazil. Fun times. And CutiePie, the 0 is better than the space, good call!

I wonder how far his delusions will go this time, being that just about ANYONE on his team this time would call him on his BS. Tyson may not even put up with it this time.
Courtney is another one that would fall into the "extremely annoying" rather than villain. There was NOTHING villainous about her. (And I have to admit - I personally didn't find her all that annoying and am kind of happy to see her back.)
And about Russell not making it far because he was so upset about loosing to Natalie - I thought the same thing, but I really do think he's just that competitive that even if he did make it to the end, he would have still been upset. I do think, however, that he will be stupid enough to reveal to SOMEBODY that he went to the Final 3 in his season and "has it in the bag" (because he didn't know at that point). I tried to judge by his weight/appearance to figure out how far he made it this time, but I did the same thing with Amanda after China (thinking that she hadn't made it very far in Fans v Favs because she had put plenty of weight back on), and I was completely wrong about that.

BUMP!
Starts tomorrow people! Although I won't be able to watch, because we have our Oratrio dress rehearsal for Polovtsian Dances that we're performing Fri-Sat (to an almost sold-out crowd ). It gets over at 8 - but it will probably take me almost an hour to get home. Does anyone know how quick they post the episode on the CBS website??

I think it's after midnight, but I'm not positive.
Thank goodness for the DVR.

I thought the last couple seasons of Survivor were "meh" and it had fallen off of my "must see" list of tv shows. This season though, I'm in, full throttle. If I can't watch it Thursday night, I'll be watching it on the DVR on Friday at the latest. I think I'll be frequenting the alt.tv.survivor newsgroup this season too.

Yay!! Can't wait for tonight!
I agree that some of the "villains" are not really villanous - but, many are entertaining. Can't wait to see Russel's WTF expression when he meets Coach...
Some of the previews make it look like many of the challenges are brutal. I think that the last few seasons have had some awfully dangerous looking challenges, it's just a matter of time before someone is SERIOUSLY injured in one. I prefer the puzzle type challenges or strenght/endurance, the brutish ones, like full on tackle football in mud seem a bit lopsided toward the men. I really don't want to watch a woman getting decked by a man (or even another woman) on TV.

Best first challenge of any Survivor ever.
Oh - I completely take back what I said on page one. Sandra is definitely on the right tribe.

Yup. One of the Survivors even said so. Though I did love Cirie's flying choke. And Russel is already up to his old games.
