It's sad to see him leave the group, but depending on the band, splitting just because you lose the lead singer doesn't always have to be. He's awesome, but I would hope they wouldn't split just because he leaves. I just think he can be replaced. It's going to be hard, but it can be done. Journey replaced Steve Perry with Arnel Pineda. I think his voice is very similar to Steve Perry's. This also reminds me of when AC/DC lost Bon Scott. I like Brian Johnson even better than him. I think it's just a matter of finding someone who can replace Tyler with a similar sound or better.

That's the problem - Tyler's got such a distinct voice. He pretty much IS Aerosmith, which is why I don't understand the solo thing.

Either way, I smell a reality show coming on...

Awesome. Glad I got to see them at F1 before he left.

$$$$ that's the only thing I can think of.

Who knows, maybe they might end up like The Doors. Jim Morrison was definitely one of those leads who just couldn't be replaced.

They must disband. It is the law of the land.

Must we be reminded of what happened with Journey when my boo left.

The world doesn't need another tribute band.

It seems unemotional and robotic---the new guy's a great singer but it's nonstop karaoke.

The dynamic frontmen of these bands aren't easily replaced. Bands claim that they don't revolve around a particular frontman, but they find someone who recreates the frontman's sound. That's like admitting they revolve around a particular frontman and are lucky to find an imitator.

Kinda like when Queen tried to replace Freddie Mercury a few years ago. Sure the dude got a great voice, but, it's Freddie freaking Mercury.
