What do you mean?

One can't really "shove" their way into a sorority...

Are you asking if you should befriend sorority members solely with the end goal of getting invited to COB?

If so, I find that sorority members can tell from a mile away when someone is being ultra-nice just so they can get invited to COB.

Just interact with them and meet them in a natural manner, and if someone thinks you may be interested or that you'd make a good member, they'll invite you.
