i talked to the office of greek life and they said 75/100 sophmores got placed. i dunno if those odds are good or bad (i know 75% but i dont know if thats a good number). also, she said overall its easier since i will know the girls and i plan to be very involved academically and in several clubs. i just dont know if chapters will look down on me greatly for being older or if theyll be pretty understanding since i transferred.

I think that involvement is very important when you're a sophomore. It's also a good idea to meet sorority members in your clubs and classes.
Something else that is REALLY important at Bama: Recommendations.
It's important for you to have recommendations for every chapter on campus for formal recruitment. It is a VERY tough road at Bama for anyone who does not have them.
Panhellenic is likely NOT going to tell you that you NEED to have these, but you do.

YES!
And you might have to work even harder to keep an open mind.
