Not sure where they got them. Obviously, they aren't worn as a serious item - neither are the NEON shirts, hats, crokies, sunglasses, etc. It's a huge recruiting event and they wear and give out ridiculous stuff with their letters on them.

The Tridelts had the coolest ones. They were coolers! With front and side pockets to hold the rest of their stuff.
