I think the issue here is that folks who are newer to GC don't realize that retro threads have been going on FOREVER and they're super lame now because the people who post them aren't even regulars.

For the record, I've always hated rush threads. No. That is a lie. I've hated rush threads where every other post is, "wow I hope its green m&m's!!" followed by "no choose snickers!"
