Family and or New Member class names

My Chapter, Iota Mu, has family names. It is nothing formal, some of the original members in the family just combined last names to make something of it. I came up with LBS for my family which was Lindsay, Bonnie, Steph. But then we also have family meanings and secrets behind it. So, once the new member is initiated into the chapter then we share our "family secrets" with her also.

And the greatest part of the family secrets just like telephone they have gotten mixed up and translated incorrectly over the years (only 5) so when we hear them repeated we all just shake our head.

Our new member classes have sort of fallen into a name. just something that happened during the New member period that sort of stuck and they decided to give themselves that name. Usually you had to be there for it to make any sense. And it isn't used often, maybe jsut to gather the crowd.

At my chapter we have family names, I'm in the tiger family (almost every single gift we get from our bigs has tiger print on it) there's also the zebra fam, the argyle fam, and a couple others that i forget (i'll have to pay extra attention). I've also heard from friends that are a xi d's at other schools that some groups do combined last names and change them as people come and go.
