Haha yessssss, I loved that that was thrown in there!
I've gotta say, I wasn't a fan of the last two episodes, but this one really redeemed the show in my mind. I am not really a big fan of the new wave of survivors plotline from the Aija/Ajia (or whatever airlines) plane crash.
I guess we'll get to see how the "natives/Others" DHARMA coup/war goes...that should be interesting.
I'm also interested to see if the show just progresses from the 70s onward, so we get the history of the island and more explanations and the season or show will end with the Oceanic crash, or if there will be more time traveling (or some other confusing, made-up way of further convoluting the story--there are just no rules for this show).
I liked that they'd showed Charlotte as a little kid, but did the writers really have to have Daniel say "Charlotte..." I thought that spoiled the moment. These writers make some of the craziest, most ridiculous plot lines, and then when there is something that really strikes a good balance between being obvious and easy to figure out and a nice, subtle moment, they have to go and ruin it with some obvious line. Couldn't they just leave it at the slo-mo running redheaded kid, and then show Daniel with a knowing, thoughtful look? Give the viewers some credit! Sorry for the tangent here, but I feel like there are a lot of these annoying, obvious, trite, lines throughout the show (in all of the seasons) that really infuriate me. These lines are usually spoken by Jack, although whether that's coincidence or just part of his (kinda boring, one-note) character. E.g., 2 weeks ago, when E. Hawking was explaining the island location machine at the Lampost, and she says "They stopped looking for where the island was, and started looking for where it was going to be," and Jack responds, "What do you mean, where it was going to be?" Ugh, these lines are way too watered down and dumbed down for such a complicated show! There are a ton more examples I could give ("if we can't live together, we're gunna die alone" comes to mind as well). Sorry for the tangent, I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt this way about the show.

I am pretty exhausted right now and up way past my bed time....
but something interesting I noticed....from the back end, the statue looked like a later Egyptian statue with Greek influences....definitely European.
Amy (Michelle for you 24 fans) held on to her husbands ankh charm...which is also an Ancient Egyptian symbol....

Last night's was one of LOST's best episodes ever, IMO. I loved it.
So, Horace is the guy who Locke saw in the jungle not too long ago, right? He kept chopping down the same tree over and over again... and he had a nosebleed then, if I'm not mistaken. I'm wondering how he gets caught up in the time craziness.
Richard is the key to the show. I have no clue who/when/what he is, but whomever/whenever/whatever he is is the answer to the whole mystery.
Now, if I can just decide who the real bad guys are - Widmore and Folk, or Ben and Company. Or, maybe they're both bad.

I remembered that Locke and Horace talked in the jungle, but I can't remember what was said between them. Anyone know?
I'm also curious to see what's going to happen with John and the people of the new plane crash. He's reminding me of Ethan, with the way no one knows who he is.. and he's not on the passenger log. And why did he end up on the beach? Why were Kate, Jack and Hurley all together? Where did Sayid go (although it looks like we'll find out what happened with him next week)? And where is Ben?!

Me too, only because their presence is confusing me. Who are they and why are they there?

All I remember is that Horace said to Locke that he had been dead for 12 years.
Ben is was one of the injured passengers..he is in one of the hatches.

Right, We saw Horace in the pile of dead Dharma people, the same one that Locke fell into when Ben shot him....
A few things I am wondering....
Are Sawyer and gang going to end up dead with the rest of the people....how are they not messing up history/time?
Wouldn't they have seen young Ben on the island?
Who does the baby become?
Oh and Sawyer's look at the end was great.....so in the end 3 years isn't long enough to get over someone!

Yeah, yesterday's episode was great. I'm still confused as always but...so much coolness!

Locke's mango (the best he's ever had!) reminded me of his orange smile
Also, Jack, Hurley, and Kate were not all together. Jack landed in the woods/jungle and then ran to the pool where he found Hurley and Kate, so I'm guessing the passengers just crashed randomly around the island (we don't even know where Sayid, Sun, or Ben crashed).
I also thought it was weird how Charlotte just disappeared and basically went back to who she was in the 70s/whenever they are stuck in time, but the other characters were not transported back to who/where they were at that time in their original/linear lives. That makes me think that they really can't change events that have happened in the "original" past/the times they travel to. I wish this show had some consistency/rules!
Also, even after reading all previous comments about "Horace," he still doesn't ring a bell?

I think Horace is also the one who initially told Locke how to find the cabin.

She probably appeared that way because she died. She was no longer moving through time with those characters who are still alive, so when they went back to the 70s, she was as she was in the 70s.

Ah, that makes sense...
I thought the baby that was delivered might have been Ben, but then his dad wasn't Horace, if I remember correctly.

No, Horace found Ben's dad in a forest in the US after Ben's mom died in the forest (They had been on a camping trip if I recall).
During that same episode we saw Ben as a young boy being sent to Dharma with his dad because they knew Horace.
Oh and we know where Ben crashed....he must have crashed with the new people because he was in their group of injured because Locke id'ed him as "The man who killed me"

Oh.. must have missed that.
I'm just glad that people are starting to get back together again so that things are less confusing
