I'm just trying to figure out when DrPhil got minions. I feel like most people could take or leave her posts just like they could mine or any number of people.

The thing is, DS, your opinions are not especially strong, DrPhil be damned. If your fall back when someone disagrees is that they need to do research or go look something up, well, that's not really on them.

UGAalum (who will always be alphagamuga to me, said like one word lol) and I don't particularly agree politically, but I think because her approach is more Socratic, I can appreciate where she's coming from.

The KSig twins (dammit, sometimes I still don't know which one I'm talking to -- are you the guys from GI Joe or what?) and I also have divergent opinions, but somehow we're able to relay our thoughts without coming from this "space" that seems so incredibly challenging to penetrate.

In short, I never feel condescended by any of the three people I listed above, and for all I know, they're as white as the driven snow. I can find commonality with them without telling them to go read a book or something.

It seems to me that maybe, just maybe, GreekChat isn't the place for you to have these strong opinions -- you're well within your right to give them, but really, the sweethearts, babies, dears, and bitches are for special occaisions and this isn't one of them.

In other words, I don't often come to GC to have these staunch opinions one way or the other. I VERY rarely (especially nowadays) bother to give a well thought out reply to anything political here. I'm here to be adored by the people who think I'm hot and then be out.

Try it. I'm sure some people here think you're a hottie, too.

I could be wrong but it sounds like you are asking me to change...Sen, love ya like a play cousin on my daddy's side, but nah. I am who I am.

Take it or leave it.

Bruh...you know I don't care about who thinks I am hot or not.

If anything I can agree with you on is that I do enjoy teh exchanges with KSig....sometimes he will say something that is actually worth considering.

I used to always dismiss people as needing to do research or not understanding. I think I've gotten better as I've become more exposed to different points of view with and without the research and understanding to back it up.

I was enjoying talking about agzg brother and SIL and their recent four wheeler purchase. So I'll just go back to that.

Yes. He was stimulating the economy. If my SIL gets on that thing before July it'll probably stimulate her early labor.

It's purple!

It's probably a good time to buy right? Or are there still hunting seasons that people would be buying them for?

I don't know. I think he bought it from another guy, so the trickle down effect is significantly lower.

Most of the hunters in our area don't use them though because they say they make too much noise and that animals can hear them from miles away. So they hoof it to their little tree stands. Most of the four wheeling people do is recreational or they use plows on their four wheelers to clear their snowy driveways. We live in a hilly area, but a lot of the driveways aren't good for big plows - four wheelers work better.

It's too late for snowmobiles, and two early for jetskis and motorcycles, so I would imagine all people are buying for small recreational vehicles right now would be four wheelers, though.

Here I think people use them to get stuff to and from deer stands on property where you aren't going to drive in a truck. But I have no first hand experience. They seems to be mainly owned by hunters, but I doubt they hunt from them or anything.

I also think people ride them just for fun.

I'm not asking you to change.

I am, however, telling you that your opinions are strong emotionally but not logically and that you need to do better at expressing them. Not because you care what other people think, but because you can do better, period.

The hotness thing was for me.

I have always spoke as I felt...some people get me, some don't.

Problem is, I think a lot of people walk on eggshells here.

But that is just me.

I think sometimes they take the materials to set up the tree stands in September on four wheelers but if they're taking coolers or anything on the day they're hunting they carry them by foot. They don't want to spook their dinner, I guess.

This thread makes me think of two things, both of which were my grandfather's mottoes.

1. "Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one."

2. "Why are there so many horses' asses in the world and so few horses?"

Awww Grandpa Big Mike. What a great guy.

Kind of reminds me of the Pied Piper. But then again most of greekchat reminds me of him. Wasn't he the one the mice followed?

The Pied Piper talked about assholes and horses asses????

Yes, the mice followed him. Or the children? Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, too.

I do know that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, does that help?

Yeah I was trying to tell you that I didn't get it without telling you that I didn't get it.

I was trying to be smooth.

Didn't work. Never does.
