Not that I condone Kara thinking Berkeley is a "step down" (although i've never heard her say that), I do sympathize with what she is saying. No offense to anyone here on GC that might have gone to Berkeley, but those people are CA-RAZY!!! I knew a few SoCal people who left back down to SoCal cause they couldn't deal with it.
I can see why Kara wanted to leave and be back in SoCal. Like she said one time, Berkeley is NOT a place for a "conservative" Republican!! lol.

As I sit here in my office looking out my window to the Oakland Hills, Piedmont, and Berkeley Hills, I laughed when I read this and couldn't agree with you more (with the exception of my sorors who graduated from there )

hahah! When I went to visit my sisters last November, we talked about Kara & Berkeley. One of my sisters (who grew up in the Castro Valley area) said "If it is hard for me as a Republican in this area, I feel bad for Kara up there at Berkeley." lol.

I was reading the blogs over on bravotv and someone claimed that Ashley (Lauri's daughter) works at the BeBe store in one of the local malls. I don't know which one but my guess would be the Brea Mall. I don't think South Coast Plaza has a Bebe store. *shrugs*

I kept thinking that Gretchen would have been Greek at Baylor, but I just found an article on her while she was a freshman. Her maiden name is Forward.
http://www.baylor.edu/lariat/news.ph...ory&story=9911
Gretchen Forward, co-chair of the organization's float committee and a Montrose, Calif., freshman, said FCC members were excited and a little worried at first.
'We are really pumped about putting it together,' Forward said. 'But there is a lot of pressure on us, since the float hasn't been done in a while.'
Freeman said FCC is proud to be one of the few non-Greek organizations to have a float in the parade.

I thought I heard somewhere that she was a Chi O? Maybe they meant that the FCC organization isn't greek (it was some kind of freshman class org.) but some of the members in it could have been from different greek groups??? Can we get a Chi O to check their members?

Tamra (at the pool party): I think Getchen may be a little jealous of where I am in my life..."
Um, I don't think she is.
I think Tamra and Icky are just jealous because she's younger and better looking.

Double post, but I cannot STAND how Icky Vicky was talking to Gretchen and Lynne at lunch.
It's like she was talking down to them because she is "Miss Businesswoman" and they're not.

Well she is, and Lynn definitely isn't. Lynn didn't want to see Vicki's side of things, and if I was Vicki I probably would have treated Lynn the same thing.
Maybe I saw wrong, but does Lynn buy regular bracelets, and then rip everything off so that she can put her "leather" on it?

Theres actually one at Mission Viejo Mall and I imagine she might work there especially if she still lives in her mom's old townhouse in Ladera Ranch. I think theres one at the Irvine Spectrum too but not 100% sure about that...

Tamra and Icky are the biggest bitches. Simon is a moron and I don't know how Don puts up with Icky and her constant put downs. The man should have left her ages ago. She's a horrible person. Tamra is a horrible human being and she is NOT a friend. I loved how she said something about the group at the box next to theirs was low class. Hello? Pot meet kettle. LOL! She wouldn't recognize class if it hit her on that brainless dishwater blonde head of hers.
Lynne is still a crappy mom but I will give her some credit when it comes to being friendly. She hit it on the head when she said that the other housewives are cold and go out of their way to exclude someone from their inner circle. She tried to be friendly with them but they kept snubbing her. I like how Jeana is the one who doesn't take sides and calls Icky out on her crap.
Gretchen. Seriously? The previews for next week show her hitting on Tamra's douchebag son. Ugh.
I like Jeana. She's the only human being with feelings in the show.

I really don't like how much cattiness there is in this season. Tamra and Vicki were horrible to Lynn and Gretchen at the race. They're acting like childish high schoolers, Lynn's comparison was dead on. I'm not a fan of Lynn but she gave them no reason to dislike her and all they've done is exclude her and made her feel uncomfortable. These women are mothers, have great jobs (in Vicki's case atleast) and they're acting so immature.
I agree that Jeana's the only normal one with any decency. Did anyone notice how Tamra was telling Kara to switch seats and sit with their group? Grow up, you're begging a 19 year old to hang out with you.
Next week with Gretchen and Ryan looks interesting!
