Hint, this thread isn't about Obama.
I don't recall asking you for an opinion about "What Obama Would Do" and personally don't give a shit about your assessment.
Nobody said 2 words about Obama beyond a hyperthetical sense so if you want to use this time to go Obama bashing, here ya go. Have at it.
Enjoy yourself.

Hahahahahaha I put one small thing about how I don't agree with Obama, yet I will support him because he is our President and I am Obama bashing. I was trying to show that I disagree with the man on personal and political issues, so that is no reason to bash him like you are bashing Bush.
If you really want to get particular, the thread was about bush almost getting hit by a shoe..... not Bush "lynching" Saddam (I agree with KSig RC...bad choice of words), not Bush Invading Iraq, and Not Bush Violating the Genva Convention.
Did you only read the last paragraph of what I said, or do you just having nothing to say about the rest because you can't respond to clear thinking and reason?
Have a good day

Good grief you've become the Mayor of Lameville.
This thread actually is about Obama because a general point is being made about respect for our presidents.

This is a serious question, not a stab at you or Obama.... I am really wondering what you mean by this, because I have heard other people say something similar to it. I heard Obama talk about Hope and Change, and I know what change is, but I never really understood the hope that he was talking about.
I like that I played a part in making history. I'm awed that I witnessed such an important day for this country. I feel hopeful again. I've missed that feeling. 11-04-2008
Why do you feel hopeful because Obama was elected? What does that really mean?

Obama thread this way --------->
I recommend sticking to the point you were making about Obama being your president, eventhough you dislike him.

LOL, that's ok, I can take some stabs (about me or anybody), as long as they're figurative and not literal.

Well, feelings are pretty subjective, so what makes me hopeful may not make you (or anyone) feel the same. It's likely that what makes me hopeful is what concerns you. I feel hopeful because the election will bring in people and policies that more align with what I am concerned about and believe in. If the GOP had kept the executive office, I would likely have kept my deep concerns about the direction and future of the country.

Americans who celebrate Bush having shoes thrown at him are like kids on a playground. It's great to critize this country and our leaders but to laugh at others' disdain is extremely shortsighted. It isn't just a personal attack on Bush, it is an attack on a symbol of America.
It's an attack that Obama-oh-great-symbol-of-change isn't immune from if his policies don't bring about the joy and cheer that people assume that they will. Or if change doesn't come tomorrow like a lot of people are expecting from Obama. Will it be funny then?
Bush was in Iraq as a surprise-surprise final visit. That's the public explanation for it. Whatever the case, he's still OUR POTUS regardless of how some of you think about him and his presidency. Remember that presidents don't operate independently so to hate Bush you should also have a general dislike for bipartisan politics, power capitalism, and the many pieces to the puzzle that got us where we are now.
1. On another note, I'd love to play dodgeball with Bush. And have a few glasses of wine afterwards. He's quick on his feet and seems like he really can't wait to NOT be president soon. Even the coolest people can leave sucky legacies, for whatever reasons.
2. On another-another note, it is a shame that the reporter has allegedly been tortured in custody. That isn't democracy or justice. On one end, he should've known what he was potentially putting himself into when he decided to do what he did. I don't trust ANY government as far as I can throw it.

It's a shame, because you're one of the smarter posters on here, and you make some great points in a lot of threads.

The problem is those great points are so often buried in so much muck, I've gotten so I usually just skim his posts, if that.

I don't read his posts. I tried to skim the last page and my hair starting falling out. That's why I had to ask him about his agreement with AKA Monet.
