I think that's why I haven't ever been able to grasp the dynamic. I get it, that it's a 'known person' thing, but there's this part of me that always thinks it's illogical whenever it happens.

Taking things too seriously is a failing of mine.
But it's a question that I've had on my mind from many years of GC observation, and I thought this was a good place to ask. I'm a puzzle solver, and when I don't understand something it bugs me.
Thanks for the honest answers, all! I don't know that it makes any more sense to me personally, but I can see why it makes sense to others a bit better.
