I do kick boxing and power sculpting classes with my gym for free. I like the power sculpting more because it incorporates kick boxing, cardio moves and weight lifting. I love lifting weights and other toning and muscle building exercises like squats and walking lunges.

As an aside:
The only classes that I pay for are yoga classes. My gym offers them for free but I go to a studio where I get small classes and personalized attention. You get to know everyone because you see them 2-3 times a week depending on how much $$$ you spend. AWESOME workout and a great yoga community where we do things like vegetarian potluck dinners and weekend getaways. End yoga rant. I get excited. Namaste.
Yeah, I've heard that some gyms offer kick boxing and other ways to stay in shape for free. One of my classmates was telling me to do it that way instead. She said it doesn't cost as much. I've been running for years and it works great for me, but I just wanted to try something different along with it. I spoke with the instructor and she said that I can make my own schedule. They meet 3 nights a week for one hour a day. Is this similar to other kick boxing sessions you've had? I haven't gotten my class schedule from school yet, so I don't know which days I'll be going, but 3 days a week for an hour a day isn't too bad. Yeah, I didn't think about that. I guess it would depend on the instructor though. What she told me sounds good. She said the owner is opening up one in another state too. That tells me that they must be pretty good. I think what I'm going to do is try the kick boxing only rather than the fitness club, because if I like it, I'll stay focused on just that. Thanks DSTCHAOS for the advice. I'll try it and see if I like it.
