I was working today, so darted out between Senate votes and ran a quick three miles. I'm sure everyone in the press gallery thinks I'm nuts, since I'm always carrying a bunch of bags (and occasionally hanging my wet swimsuit in the corner to dry) and "showering" in the bathroom sink.

Walked the kid down to the park, around to see the animals and ducks, and back home. Slower than my normal pace and we stopped to have a "picnic" lunch of sandwiches and fruit (and cookies), but at least I did something.

Ran two miles this afternoon. I was dreading it since my car showed an outdoor reading of 102 when I got to the trail, but thankfully there was a light breeze. That made a huge difference and it was my first pleasant run in several weeks.

Wii Fit

. . . is addictive. I chose a male trainer (!), and am really just starting to play around with it. I do like the goal setting, the calendar, and some of the exercises. I do not like how tubby my Mii looks, but hey, we're working on it. I am awful at ski jumping, btw.

Bike commute to uni today, and bike commute back. It was a lovely hot sunny day in Scotland...so I'm taking full advantage!

Yesterday my flatmate and I went for a 6hr hike up through Clydebank and up to
Loch Lomond, which was quite a hike. We had ulterior motives though...we were scouting trout lochs for next weekends fly fishing trip.

30 minutes of running with Wii = well, actually elliptical. Instead of just running in place, I get on the elliptical with my remote. I actually went further and burned more calories than usual on the island run!

45 minutes of racquetball followed by a 45 minute full body workout with my trainer. Good stuff. I came up with a wicked new serve today that he was not even able to return a few times.

25 minutes/2.5 miles on the treadmill and 5 minutes on the stationary bike. Would have gone 3 miles on the treadmill but people were waiting and I hate to hog the machines, plus my stomach was cramping a little.
