Funny Recruitment Dreams

LucyKKG just reminded me of the on-going and strange recuitment dreams I've had over the past 20 years. What was your most unusual recruitment dreams.

In mine, an entire rush group brought their dogs.

So, SAI/Phi Sig recruitment isn't nearly as hard core and structured as NPCs, but I have recruitment dreams all the time!

Once, I dreamed that my arch nemesis from high school came out for Phi Sig recruitment and then showed up on interview night. In my dream, during voting, I tried my damnedest to voice my concerns about her, but I kept getting shot down because it was seen as "personal beef". The brotherhood bid her, she got initiated and then, caused a whole bunch of drama in the chapter and we lost our university recognition.

I also, once had an SAI dream where we had a bunch of NPC women also in our SAI chapter. I dreamed that they basically turned out recruitment into Panhel recruitment (matching outfits, rotations, rehearsals, and a pref ceremony). In that dream, we had a pledge class of like 15 come bid day.

Our VPM this year, is planning on a pref ceremony for us this year! I'm so excited! I think it will really improve our image! (for real, not in a dream)

Every year I would dream that our bid day shirts were some awful color combo like puke green and neon pink.

I had a dream that when our girls rushed up to join our chapter, there was 200 of them.. and there were only 10 of us in the chapter, so we all got 20 lils

When I was president of our chapter, I once took off my shoes between Round 1 parties (cute heels, but painful!) and promptly forgot where I'd left them. I nearly missed the next party because I was running around the house in bare feet looking for them! After that, I had a series of dreams where I never found the shoes, had to give my welcome speech barefoot, and got a rush infraction for being high-heel-less.

As VPM, I also had the dream that the recruitment phone rang and for some reason I couldn't answer it. HUGE infraction, ENORMOUS fine. That one still gives me the heebie-jeebies!

Kind of a dream about recruitment, not mine though...

My grandlittle dreamt it was informal recruitment, and that she was sitting on the lower bunk bed in a room that we don't show during recruitment, and that she was told to go back downstairs. Well, my grandlittle was actually sleepwalking. She was on her bed (top bunk), sitting up, and attempted to step down, which of course, was not pretty. She banged up her knee and shoulder pretty badly.

Yay! You started a thread because of me! I'm touched! I've had 3 or 4 dreams (as I've already said), but I can only remember two of them.
In the first one, I dreamt that my second little was at recruitment in the fall and I was like, "Yay! Everything's okay because Alexa's here after all!" In real life, she's transferring, so I'm sad.
My second dream was about my biological sis. She's going to Sac State next year and I dreamt that she decided to go through recruitment and I was SUPER excited. She's not actually gonna do it. Maybe sophomore year! (She's stubborn.)

I just had my first one last night!

Ok so I dreamt that I was a IIX (I really am though..for Fall recruitment lol) and I somehow missed the first two days of recruitment. I finally show up and find out that recruitment numbers were super bad b/c my Pi Chi group was only like 5 girls. That night I get a phone call from a girl in my group saying that she didnt like the sororities she had left (one of them being SAI which dont participate in formal at my school..weird huh?) and that she was dropping out. I try to get her to stay but I freeze up and cant think of anything to tell her! The next day I come back and somehow I skipped Pref day and all of a sudden its bid day and the remaining 4 girls in my group get bids. Then its time for revealing and each IIX went individually in a way that represents their personality (EX: one of the IIXs participates in beauty pageants so she walked down a runway and revealed). I only got through 3 reveals when I woke up from my alarm. so weird!!

I dream about us all the time. hehe. I had a horrible ritual dream one time.

It's too bad "Dream PNM" didn't like us. hehe.

This isn't really a recruitment dream but it's still weird/funny.

A few years ago (when I was still in school), I had a dream that I had gone home and missed the first few week of fall semester due to family problems. When I came back, rush and pinning had already occurred. The pledge class was going to be having dinner together, so I went to go meet them at the restaurant. It turns out there were three Asian guys in the pledge class. I was like "WTF??!!?? Why didn't they join LPhiE or PDPsi?" One of my sisters gave me the whole every-org-is-different-and-maybe-they-saw-something-in-us-that-they-didn't-see-in-the-Asian-fraternities spiel. Nobody believed me when I tried to tell them the guys were only there to meet Asian girls and not because they believed in our values. Apparently, I was the only one who could see how creepily they were looking at all the girls.

I had this dream a little after bid day last year it was so funny.

Anyway it started with us cleaning up after our last pref party and we were talking about how great we did this year with recruitment. We were so happy that our party was full and and that so many girl got teary eyed during the ceremony. Then it was bid day and we were so excited we were told that we gave out 35 bids which was quota. We go to bid call out and they never named a girl to come to our chapter. All the 35 bids we gave out were rejected. We were all so sad but tried to stay positive. Later that day we heard from girl who had just joined ABC, that said she really wanted join our chapter and didnt understand why she got ABC because she had suicided us. That Monday the greek life advisor called a meeting saying that there was a computer glitch and all the girls on our list got bids from ABC and vise versa. So the solution was for us to have recruitment again but with only our chapter and ABC. So on Bid day number two not only did we get girls but we got quota plus 2.

When I told some of my chapter the dream they couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous it was.
