I went to grad school in the western part of Virginia...in other words about 30 minutes from the state line of West Virginia. It is absolutely gorgeous... no doubt... but... let me put it this way:

The first day of hunting season is a school holiday.

I wish I were making that up, but I am not.

People in Texas think that Arkansas is full of red-necks. Sad to say- Arkansas is full of sophistication compared to what you will encounter in WVa.

But... it is beautiful. Take in the beauty for all that it is worth. If not the most beautiful state in our country, it is certainly top 3.

I know it is!! The kids don't go to school on first day of hunting season!

You're right, it is beautiful. More so than I was expecting. I just wish there was more stuff there.
