While, admittedly, I am no fan of Jason, I am glad that he was able to stay and that Brooke went home. I just felt bad for him last night when Drunk Paula made those negative comments about his second song, and then he had to immediately go and perform said second song.

I will be pulling for Syesha to make the Top Three next week. I do think she has performed well, but just can't get any love from the judges.

I can't remember any softer gloves for a contestent than what Little David is getting. He has forgotten lyrics- twice- and he has definitely not lived up to his post-Imagine hype. But the under 16 crowd loves him, and he is marketable, so whatever. I just wish the judges weren't so obvious about it. And "I think you should have more fun" does not, in any way, consistute criticism, Paula.

As for David C... I can't say that I am loving the wardrobe choices or the new hair cut this week. Anyone else nostalgic for the audition rounds v-neck sweater he sported? I loved it because he was clearly a rocker, yet had the confidence and swagger to pull of an argyle sweater vest. Very unexpected. Gotta love that.

I agree. The little girls may like him right now, but I think it's because they think he's cute. If you took away his visual appeal, I don't think his song choices have any appeal to the youngins, and his voice is not a big deal to adults...plus I think most adults would feel creeped out being a fan of a 16 year old boy. Bottom line: I think he's another Taylor Hicks...they like him now, but they're not gonna buy his records.

Visual Appeal? Visual Appeal? I have took dumps that had better faces. However, he is charming and some may say endearing, and his song choices help that, cuz here is a little kid singing about world peace or the ultimate love. Kids and idealism works! His voice on the other hand, not so much. AND, hopefully his voice isnt done developing, cuz if he sounds like that at 25, he will never get laid

I disagree.

Marketable does not have to mean you and me.

Marketable does not have to mean the masses at large.

But... he is marketable to girls under the age of 18. Remember, this demographic does not require pure vocal talent, performance maturity, or deep meaning lyrics. It is all about image and googly eyes.

Look no further than Richard Marx, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, New Kids and early Britney. Most adults agreed that there was not much substance with any of these performers. But they sold millions of records beacause their audience identified with them.

As for me? No way am I buying a Cupcake album, but if he wins this things I assure that a ton of 14 year olds will.

I wish Jason would go away.
Then David A. Like everybody else said, he's cute, but he's no Idol.
Leaving Syesha and David Cook as the top 2.
I'm rooting for David Cook to win. I've been saying that from day 1. Love Syesha, I think she's great - thats why I want her in the top 2.

I agree with the disagreement. I think A&R guys are salivating over the cash pile that DA represents. He's the perfect age to suck into the business, take a while to mold and develop him (and I agree, I think his voice is still developing) and shove him down the tweens throats. With Hannah Montana now doing nudie photos, DA can slip right into the "good and wholesome" slot she and others have been raking in the dough from.

And I agree the kid isn't the MOST magnetic singer, but boy, he does have a voice. And with how different guys are at 22 from 17, 18, he could turn into a little dreamboat with a great voice. Although I think he might turn out a little freaky, with his Dad being such a control freak that has probably done a number on his self-esteem, he may just turn into a strange-personalitied-puppet of his label and manager.
