Ok, what is going on with Rev. Wright?
Has this man gone crazy? Please.sit.down.somewhere. Is this crabs in a barrel at it's best? Is he working for Hillary Clinton? I'm completely baffled.

Maybe not now, but I bet a book is forthcoming. Why not? Others do it.

Soror, I meant now is not the time for his grandstanding (not for his book).

I don't have a problem with the grandstanding. It's just that the media and some folks can't separate Wright from Obama or vice versa.
Rev Wright is SO on point with what he says, IMO.
If Obama does not win the nomination, this will be used as the EXCUSE. I told ya'll don't forget whose world it is. Regardless of Wright, if THEY want Obama IN, he will get IN...with or without the so called grandstanding!

I must say that I agree that Wright is on point with some of the things he says (a lot of what he says to be truthful), but as a mentor and a leader and a man of God he should understand that there is a time and a place for everything. He should also be aware that what he says and does not only reflects on him, but on Obama and all black people for that matter. I really regret that some black people still forget that when they open their mouthes and when they act out they do not only rep themselves they rep everything associated with them. Rev. Wright knows the effects of what he said and how the media portrayed him. I've corresponded with him and he has said how it has weighed on him. So my thing is if you know your actions could cause Obama to lose support then shut up for the time being. After he's president then run your mouth. Im cool with people taking advantage of opportunity. Im against it when it is to the detriment of others. There have been plenty of times when groups or individuals could have spoken out and felt a need to speak out but decided not to because it was in the best interest of those that they support to remain a quiet dissenter.

You havent spoken anything but the truth, but I have to say that they want him now, but the more Wright says the less some of Them want him. In my opinion they should never be given a reson to doubt Obama and wright seems to be giving them plenty.

I totally agree. If he wants to cash in on a book, so be it...AKA2D '91 is right, others do... BUT he is grandstanding. He knows it, you know it, and I know it. The book will sell because he used to be Obama's pastor & because clips from his sermon were all over the news & youtube. All publicity is good publicity when you're trying to cash in.
Even though I agree with some (definitely not all) of what Wright says, he has to realize that its best to say these things AFTER Obama wins. A lot of Americans are lazy in their thinking. They're not going to separate Obama from his former pastor's comments because its just too easy.
"Obama says what he has to say as a politician"
~ Rev. Wright
What was the point of that?

Rev. Wright is not trying to cash in. He already had multiple books and an active career as a speaker before these links to Obama thrust him into the national political spotlight. He was and continues to be a well-respected theologian and because of that was and continues to be a sought after speaker. He was and is doing alright without this crap, believe me.
If anything, this publicity is hurting him because right after it happened he had to cancel speaking engagements because of the death threats that he received; also some of those engagements were canceled as a reaction to this negative press (I think).

She's giving money to herself again? So does this make a total of 11.4 million (including the 5 million she gave herself before) or has she been able to pay herself that money back....
