Though this is an issue that is deeply personal to the Greeks, it reflects a larger problem and that is that the entire Afro-American community is being used here (again). A better question would have been "Are you considering going to graduate school?" In fact, with the educational challenges we face, they should have simply asked “Are you considering going to college?” along with a prepared list of Do's and Don'ts that advise high school aged kids on how to get into and GRADUATE from a four-year university. This is BET, though, and its grip on what is going on in the black community has long since slipped away. Anything about black America that can be made profitable for them is used; they do it with BGLOs just as they do with HBCUs, not to mention our music, food, faith, and femininity as women. Your organizations can sue, and perhaps our universities too, but unfortunately virtually everything else remains vulnerable to defamation, misrepresentation and commercialization.
