I don't think it
insults anyone; I just think people are apprehensive regarding posts that seem like they may be promoting a particular brand/product/etc., unless the poster is an established GC'er who obviously isn't selling something.
That said, I wish I could post a picture of my disk necklace but my USB cord for my digital camera is missing. I just got it back from Alabama where it had been left behind last time I visited my grandparents'. It's a silver necklace and disk with the crest on the front and my inititals, date of initiation, and my big sis's initials on the back. I wear it on the same chain with my (Delta Gamma) lavalier.
