Continuing the hijack: I finally realized what movie/tv show I kept feeling this thread was like... High Fidelity. I love that movie. The book was okay, but I think it would have been better if I hadn't seen the movie.

ETA: Also, the Kristi Yama-coochie hijack has me thinking of a #11 on my list of movies I wish I hadn't seen. There was a disney channel movie called "Go Figure" that I watched while at the gym working out a couple weeks ago and I wish I hadn't seen it because I loved it :-( Kristi Y. made an appearance in it, and surprisingly looked exactly like she did some 15 or so years ago when she won the gold.

LOL... I never noticed that the bangs were bad, but I always thought she looked like one of the least likely persons to meet a DJ (like the John Cusack character) in a club and fall in love. I remember the first time I saw the movie I was so surprised when they ended up together, but I watched it a couple more times and now I really like that they ended up together. To me, the old immature DJ didn't really fit with her, but at some point you grow up, realize what love is, and then realize that maybe the person that's been with you happens to be the best fit for you as a grown up.

But he sleeps with Catherine Zeta Jones!! He sleeps with Lisa freaking Bonet!!!! I would start working the other side of the hot dog stand for Lisa Bonet.

She just reminded me of some of the girls I've seen on the music scene here...they are all hot to date a musician but then once they have him they don't want to deal with the fact that other girls might be looking at him and that he's going to have to be cordial to them because that's part of his job, or that he doesn't want to stay in and cuddle every night, and say stuff like "oh honey, isn't it time you grow up and get out of that life?" It's like being a Yoko but only worse. It's not love if you want someone to discard something that's part of them.

as you can see, I have strong feelings about this flick. LOL

umm, anyway, carry on with the top 10 lists.
