I've been thinking....there is no double meaning. Eggs are unfertilized (meaning haploid) and abortions are (diploid). So you shouldn't get grossed out by the old saying "you can't make an ommlette without breaking some eggs." You're right, that's not ultra companisonette, but...so what?
