Okay so pref night....
I was really worried about what i was going to do between Meredith and Bailey. Meredith was the top house but i did not feel comfortable there, while i loved Bailey and they were known as a bad house on my campus. I decided not to stress about it until i found out who invited me back in the first place. Maybe this was going to be like the Callie situation, and i wouldn't have to make a choice.
But then i found out the i had gotten invited back to all 3. I remember panicking about the situation. I really did not want to go to another Meredith event, cause, they were so... not for me. The more i got to know them, the more stuck up the seemed, the more materialistic, and the more i saw the party girl bar hopping image.
But what would my friends say if i cut Meredith. Jen would think i was crazy, everyone knew that they were THE chapter with the best girls, but were these girls really the best? Just cause they drove nice cars and had nice clothes and were pretty, was that it? Wasn't there more to sisterhood than that?
I realized that i had to cut Meredith. I did not want to be in this house AT ALL.
Before the parties started i talked to Jen, and she told me that she was going to go the Christina and Meredith's pref parties but was definitely going to suicide, and she was only going to both events cause her Rho Gamma was making her.
When she asked me whose parties i was going to i told her Bailey and Izzy, she gave me the saddest look and said "Aww... Meredith cut you? Well dont worry you can always just suicide Izzy, they are almost just as good as Meredith..." and i told her... "no actually Meredith invited me back, but i dont feel like i fit in there" she looked at me like i was out of my mind! Oh well... more about her later...
The first event i went to was Izzy's. The ceremony was so beautiful. There were a lot of girls at the event and i looked around at my competition (errr... potential future sisters) and thought about how well known those girls were. Lots of girls for the Student Government and other great organizations on campus and i was like wow, Izzy attracts really great girls. The ceremony was beautiful and i felt really comfortable with the girls.
After i quick break, i went to Baileys event. The first thing i noticed was that there were not as many girls there. Maybe half of what was at Izzy's event. The ceremony was so amazing and i cried. i never cry... but wow, the things those girls said were exactly why i wanted to join and sorority.
After the events we ranked. I thought so long and hard... who should i rank #1, Bailey or Izzy? I really honestly liked both chapters. I was so confused. Finally i wrote down my ranking, signed my bid card and walked away....
