I know OU beat #1 Missouri, but I think they were a little overrated, AND that loss to Colorado is not easily made up for.

As for Georgia, they're ALWAYS good, but just can't quite seem to cut it in the end.

Poor buckeyes!
The Big XII is just so strong top to bottom. The teams really beat up on each other. It's tough for anyone to run that kind of a gauntlet. That said, OU lost to Texas Tech on the road without their quarterback by 6 points. They lost to CU on the road by 3 points after a really poorly timed turnover.

LSU is pretty lucky this year. 5 plays away from going 7-5. Two losses at home to marginal bowl teams, and a near loss to the Tennessee team due to a fluky interception.

Nice title, btw.

As my boyf (a UGA alum) said last night, Hawaii may be undefeated but, GA will hand them their only loss of the season.

It seems unfair though that since we played less games, we dropped in the rankings and VT went up. If we had only played in the SEC and won, we may have gone to the BCS. Oh well, sUGAr Bowl ain't bad

P.S. Joja, I'm glad to see yet another UGA fan on here! I gotta give it up to VT too though, since I'm from VA and have so many Hokie fans. I'm just glad the Dawgs aren't playing the Hokies in a bowl game again this year - last year was so very hard to watch... At least now I can cheer them both on.

I agree it would have been a miracle to watch UGA make it into the BCS and I gotta say I don't think the rankings were fair in the least. Coach Richt definitely made a good point. AND Ohio only had to sit and watch and didn't have to do anything to get into the BCS, while other teams struggled for the past three weeks, they got to sit at home and rest. BS in my opinion.

I don't know if I agree the Big XII is strong top to bottom (hello, Baylor and even my own Cyclones?) but there were definitely a lot of surprises and upsets. This year was just a strange one overall for NCAA Football. It is nice to see 3 Big XII teams in the BCS top 10, with two of those being Big XII North teams.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Congrats to Hawaii for joining the party! Don't forget to bring the Surfing Goat Dairy cheese. Mark Richt should enjoy it with his whine.

Damn right there's another UGA fan. But that game is the game that must not be named. Shhh...

OMG! You're being one of those fans that makes other fans hate your team! Even non-college football fans would hate LSU right now. Stop making me (and others I'm sure) want to see LSU lose instead of support another SEC team.

So, here's my dilemma. I'm living in the heart of Ohio State country, watching everyone jumping back on the bandwagon now that they are headed back to the National Championship game. It's disgusting and it won't stop for weeks. You probably wouldn't believe that there are TWO professional sports franchises in Columbus as well as a Triple A affiliate, would you? Of course, that's another thread for another day...

Naturally, I'd like to see the SEC win back to back National Championships because I'm one of those obnoxious SEC fans who really believes the SEC is better than everyone else. Problem is, it's LSU. I believe that regardless of their two losses that they're still the best team in the country (sorry Georgia fans). Having said that, there are not enough words to express my extreme dislike of LSU. I mean, my background on my home and work computer is a scoreboard that reads UK 43 LSU 37 and it may stay that way for eternity!

Who the heck do I cheer for?

For goodness sakes, I was JOKING about Richt and the cheese. I just didn’t feel the need to fill up space with smilies. If you or anybody else, doesn’t want to support LSU, that’s fine. Hate fuels passion. We may win, we may lose and the sun will still rise the next day. BTW – pick out some new gear on me and we’ll call it an early Christmas present. http://www.justbuckeyes.com/ That was a joke too.

You're right about hate fueling passion. I'm getting enough of it from my coworker. We're not in the Rose Bowl like he dreamed, but he's just cheering endlessly for Hawaii.

Thanks for the gift, but I'll take a Visa Gift card instead. Just don't get your grimy LSU paw prints on it.

LOL, I just had some last week. Good stuff!

You might want to consider this for your Christmas present to Mark Richt:

Cheese on a Shirt

They have Cheese in my Pockets too!

Baylor isn't good, but they still have the potential to beat anyone in the conference. So does ISU. They played Oklahoma pretty close -- they've had some other really close games as well. Also, this was their first year with a new coach, so it's not really fair to judge them at this point.

The Big XII is excellent top to bottom. Anyone could beat anyone else in any given week -- KSU throttled Texas at home. Tech beat Oklahoma, Colorado beat Oklahoma. Nebraska is loaded with talent and Pelini is about to put it all together.

The Big XII is just fine.
