Judging from past posts I've read over the years from the OP, she does have a tendency to overreact and I think many people who replied to her in this thread did so thinking the same thing.
You have an advantage then, I don't know the OP's post history, just basing my opinion on this post. I agree she started off wrong, but no need to jump the girl. She obviously cared a lot about her signature - and maybe it is hard to recreate...
