I never knew they could help with sciatic problems. My mom has them and I am starting to get them. They are so annoying.
I think it depends on WHY you're having problems. I started having problems because of the way I was sitting when I was pregnant pushed my hipbone a bit out of alignment.

Mine comes when I sit in a certain spot on the couch for a long time, so probably similar situation.
Going to get a epidural steroid injection in my L5-S1 on Monday. Been on the couch since Sunday. Today was the first day since that I was able to walk. Steroids (by mouth), pain killers and muscle relaxers haven't done jack for me...Hoping for immediate relief after getting the injection.

That was one of the two levels I had surgery on (the other being L4-L5). Good luck!
I refused to try epidurals because if they didnt work and I had to take off school in the middle of the year it would have been a lot worse for me.
I had a LOT of time on my hands this week....to say the least. Working from home is nice, but ESPN repeats SportsCenter so much, it almost makes me sick..
