A recommendation is a form that should be available on your sorority's national website. Just fill in the blanks and sign.
A letter of support is included to give extra information that the sisters couldn't get off of the recruitment application. This will help them match the PNM with sisters of similar interests and give them a better idea of who she is. I try to inclulde one with every recommendation. Here is the form I use for my letters:
Dear Sisters,
I am writing to recommend Suzy Q for membership to the XX chapter of ABC.
Suzy loves to travel, especially to South America. She plans to go to medical school. She loves animals. She volunteers at the food kitchen. She loves fashion and is obsessed with shoes. List whatever activities/qualities that may not show up on the sisters' radar.
Suzy is caring/fun/a leader/etc. and would be a fantastic addition to any sorority. Please give Suzy every consideration when she comes through recruitment in August!
