OK, all. Never been a bridesmaid myself, but I came close just out of college. (best friend from high school asked way in advance, then for whatever reason decided I wasn't good enough to be in the wedding or something
) Did see the dress, though. Gotta tell ya, I was throwin' a party over not having to wear it. However, being fresh out of college and neck deep in debt, I set it up to make payments. Paid $80, not even close to half, toward the ugly thing and never saw it again.
So anyway, I decided then and there that my wedding party would have a say about the dress style. I chose the color, which was agreeable to them, and we all agreed on the style. My dresses were made by a woman I worked with at the time, so we found suitable material for a formal enough dress that could be altered and used in real life.
Now, I'm divorced and have since remarried. My plan the second time around? JEANS!
