Small school systems are not like big ones. There are often people in the groups that aren't very "gung ho" and think things like intramurals and Greek week are a stupid waste of time. You happened to join a really un-gung ho group. That's life. If you stuck around you might be able to change it, but it's a moot point since you're leaving due to your major.
And I have no idea what national group you're in, but I'm guessing due to the size of your old school it's one of the smaller ones. The smaller national groups do not have the staff that the larger ones do and sometimes things take longer.
And yeah...spell check and leave mom out of it.

yeah, I hope I like them. They are known here as the prettiest and kinda slutty group, but I went to the information meeting and they had all the tables set out, and immediatly after they dismissed the meeting and asked the girls to go look around, almost everyone went toward ABC. I mean I just have to wait until the prez says I can meet them and hang out with them as ABC, and your right they might not be the type of girls I'd like to hang out with or they can be the girls who I absolutely loveee. Who knows?
i am not going to say which group it is, but it is one of the smaller organization. They dont have nearly have as many chapters as DZ or phi beta pi (i think thats rights), so It was very hard to find a school that was in a reasonable amount of distance ( I am actually 12 hrs away from home now, but thats as far as I will go)and that had my major, which is to say the least not that common.
It kinda sucks, I felt like (i dont wanna say screwed) but for lack of a better word, screwed. just because at my old school they made such a big deal about having so much fun, getting the best grades, etc. and yeah, I did feel comfortable around them, so I felt like I made the right choice, but still the fact that you say they are gung ho, is SO true!
