Am I wrong if I want to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in our new house instead of traveling all the way to TX to see the above mentioned in-laws?
My MIL lives in England and was visiting for our wedding in May and planned to stay until July. Her housing situation got messed up. We finally got it settled and she'll be going back in mid-September. I love her really and we get along well but I want to roam "au naturel" as my soror called it.

I would divorce my husband if he let his sister come and visit. Now that's the devil incarnate

Ahh ok makes sense...I was thinking she was one of those evil MILs who move in the day after the wedding and never leave because the new wife will never be able to take care of her baby boy like she could. It's frightening that people voluntarily marry into families like that.

My in-laws aren't that bad, just kind of overbearing at times.
