We called ours switches, my mom called them exchanges

But essentially one fraternity to one sorority. (Although we did have several of the small fraternities get together so they could have switches with the sororities)

At the University of Illinois we called them Exchanges. (Do they still?)

They did there in the 70's. That's where my mom went.

We called them mixers. Swaps and exchanges remind me of the book sale, ha ha.

Back in the day, it had to do with swapping pledges for a week. It usually ended up with us cooking and planning a fancy sit down dinner for the brothers, and afterwards, the brothers throwing a party in our honor. It was just a cute thing.
