be sure to wear those new shoes and break them in before recruitment. you don't want blisters on the first day, so that you literally limp thru the rest of recruitment week.
another tip- crabtree and evelyn have little packets of blotting paper that are great and convenient for blotting up the excess oil on your face that may develop thru out the recruitment day. sometimes the rush counselors carry around coffee filters that serve the same purpose, but it is nice to have a cute little pack of your own-just in case!
good luck classic-i'm pulling for audrey!

^^ I'm all about the coffee filters, too! When I went thru R, Crabtree & Evelyn didn't make the blotters yet - or at least, no one around me carried them. So I just cut the coffee filters to fit.
Another suggestion: Dr. Scholl makes blister pads that are a gel on a bandaid. They can be lifesavers! When your feet hurt, it always shows on your face.

I think that I was the only person in my Pi Chi group to take this into consideration when I went through recruitment, and it helped SO much... blisters are just one of those things that you don't tend to think about until after the fact.

BandAid also makes this Blister Preventer stuff. Its a little roll on gel (kinda looks like mini deoderant) and it really works well to prevent blisters.

Prevent Shoe Blisters with A Hard Bar of Soap
Get hard bar of soap, unused. Travel size is best.
Rub it on the inside of the your shoes, where ever you think they may rub or are rubbing. This softens the leather/material. No one sees the insides of your shoes so it will not show and will not hurt the shoe.
Keep the hard bar of soap in your purse and use between parties as needed.
TRUST ME THIS WORKS!
Another option is to get some mole skin, cut out a piece an stick it on the shoe where it is rubbing. Problem is that if your feet are moving in the shoe a lot, e.g. the heel moving up and down assuming that is where it is hurting, it can come off and get unraveled.

I feel like most pi chis carry them for you, but I still brought my own breath mints in my bag just in case.

I would also carry some deodorant and a travel size bottle of baby powder(unscented).
Rub some of the baby powder on the palms of your hands or any other place you may get sweaty, it totally prevents sweat for the whole night. It helped me out soo much during rush and everyone was borrowing it. lol

Listerine Pocket Pack.
Floss.
Tide-To-Go pen.
Notepad & pen/pencil.
Bottle of water. (I was always too busy talking/afraid of spilling on myself that I never drank anything the houses gave to the PNMs!)

One of those little hand-held battery-powered fans. They are great during the week!
