I wonder if this is the theme of his upcoming album and this was all for publicity.

I wondered that myself, but Tamieka's husband would have to be crazy to go along with this mess. There is NO WAY that I'd "loan out" my husband to make "appearances" with a chick, do interviews, claim he knocked her up, etc. just for some cash. Even if all that were true and they all are really such LOSERS to go through with such an elaborate scheme, I highly doubt that Usher's mom would allow herself to be publicly humiliated just so her son could sell some albums. At least I would hope not.....

I hope that's not the plan because I could see it backfiring and blowing up in all their faces.

Someone is probably writing songs about this for Usher as I type. He'll be in the studio this week, then the songs will be added to the CD. Folks will want to hear the songs, he'll go on his press tour and the CD will be a bigger seller than Confessions.

Ya'll tell me if the CD is any good. I'm not buying it.

Usher and Tameka

Did you all see the stuff about her welfare fraud crime from several years ago?

Is the pregnancy also a hoax/publicity related?

AKA2D, I'm with you. I will not be buying the CD. Although I only bought his very first one for a penny thanks to Columbia House.

Ushmeka

I saw an update on People.com, and apparently Urrsshh and Manmeka had some, shall we say, stylistic differences on the wedding. Usher wanted celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten to cater the wedding (great food, BTW. I've eaten at one of his restaurants in N.Y. and he's married to a sista), while 'Meka wanted barbecue.

Sorry, although I like a good barbecue (just had a beef rib and rice for breakfast), you don't do that at a wedding! Too much potential for mess.

Stop playing!!!! LOL
Why wait until the day of to cancel though knowing that this was potentially the reason? Caterers have to be booked in advance so surely Usher knew what Tameka wanted to have served at the wedding.

True. I remember reading where Holly Robinson-Peete had soul food including greens and such at her reception. I guess they, like Tameka were trying to "keep it real". LMAO

Shawn is still on AH, she also does AH on TVOne commercial break segments.

Please tell me this is not the real reason why the wedding didn't take place. If they would let something like a difference in opinion on what to serve at the wedding stop them from getting married, their marriage doesn't stand a chance....

I am more inclined to believe that some people FINALLY got to Usher (whether it was about the pre-nup or other things) and he called it off...

Eddie and Tracey....

Didn't he date Shawn Robinson (AH) for a second? That should be awkward when she has to interview him.
