I am enjoying this immensely. I do note that no where does she indicated a time frame (ie, 80's). I too am inclined to believe Oklahoma, Texas etc. Two reasons..."Cowgirl" is from Kansas and a number of her favorite resorts are in the west.

Although she mentions lifts and throws in cheerleading, I am inclined to think it is earlier than the 80's. Just because she mentions current movies etc, doesn't mean she is still fresh out of college. Her story telling is definitely developed...and the way she describes her mother, feels like mom was more a product of the 40's or 50's.

Either way...any way...whichever way....keep the story coming!
