I was at Express Oil Change yesterday, one of the guys working there said something about me being an AKA (the tag on my car). Then this other guy ask what is that? Oh you mean a frat . I said, "fraternities are for guys", he said "oh yeah I saw those AKA dudes on the internet."
I just waited for my oil to be changed.

At work, a guy told me I was one of those fraternity girls. You know about having to earn respect.
I just chuckled and left.

I was walking the hallways on my way to lunch when our financial clerk and a teacher's aide (both Latio males) were approaching. The clerk began stomping around and clapping. He's a silly guy as it is but I didn't understand what he was doing and neither did the aid. He turns to the aide and says "She knows about that. She's part of stomp the yard."
True, it was a teachable moment but I didn't feel like it--I was on my lunch break.

That's kinda funny. We are not in individual orgs; we are Stomp the Yard.
I totally agree w/ you about the teachable moments, but sometimes (like my story about the guy at Express Oil Change) I just don't feel like it.
