While waiting for my credit union to open this morning, I shot over to Wal-Mart looking for some replacement workout gear. I saw a pair of 8/10 exercise pants for $3. I figured, "I'll have them when I need them and they'll fit eventually."
I decided to try them on and THEY FIT. I couldn't believe it! I ended up getting another pair of workout pants (8/10, also $3), a tank sweater (8/10) for $4 and a tank workout top (12/14) for $3 (the tag said $7.50, so I was surprised when it rang up for less).
At the end of March, I was in Wal-Mart and I passed a clearance rack with a very cute black lacy skirt for $6.00. The only sizes left were 4, 6, 10 and 18. Since an 18 would have been a step in the wrong direction, I took a 10 into the dressing room. I was able to zip up the zipper but wasn't ready to wear it yet. I bought it anyhow, LOL.
When I got home today, I tried on the skirt ... it is now a perfect fit!
Hope to post tomorrow with a great WI ... last week I maintained.

This morning I was down another 3.8 lbs! This made me feel a lot better about maintaining last week. Now I am less than 4 lbs away from being down 150!
When I got my booklet back, I saw that I have now gone below my seventh grade physical weight of 175 (this was in 1985, BTW). I am absolutely floored!
Today I went into Old Navy to look at the sale items. I tried on two pairs of size 10 jeans -- they fit OK but one was long and the other short, and that's how they fit. I decided to try on a pair of size 8 for fun, and they fit too! They're stretch, but so what? I have never worn a size 8 before!

YEA BB91!! I want those kinds of results!
Yesterday, a Soror and I walked 5 miles and ran half a mile. My body hurts. I'm going to do a bit of the FS with the Core to see how things go. I need to be back down 10lbs in the next week or so.

BabyBlue, you're doing it real big!
Treblk, that's phenomenal! I walked 2.5 miles today and the hills were no joke. So I feel good.
We can do this, y'all!

I just wanted to give an update! So last week when Ideal talked about the Fat Smash diet I decided to try it or mix it into the Core food plan from WW, well ladies, since last Thursday, I started both eating plans, walking 3 miles each morning and jogging a mile and I feel great. I went to my WW meeting on Wed. and I'm down 4.6lbs. I was so excited that I was in tears. I finally broke my plateau and it feels GREAT! My day 9 ends tomorrow and I think I’m going to continue with phase 1 for another couple of weeks, just to see more results. I will add a few of the phase 2 food like meat and fish (which I’m craving like crazy). I’m just besides myself with excitement.

So you do the Core. Is it hard to do? It just seemed so limiting. I do the Flex and although I can admit to not being fully committed in the last month, I've lost 12lbs. since Feb. which, to me, isn't really enough.

the little train that could...
Having that mentality is what helped me...
I definitely became discouraged many, many times... And some months it seemed like my body stalled and didn't want to lose any more weight... But I kept plugging at it!
So far it's been 10 months since I reached maintenance through the WW flex points system and I've maintained my 20lb weight loss.
Ladies,
I must say that I am very proud of each and every one of you... those who've already reached their goals, those in the process of reaching their goals, and those who haven't even started the process but have decided they want to do something about their current health!
Isn't losing weight such a powerful thing. I personally confirmed after I reached my goal weight, that there is nothing that I can't achieve. It just may take patience, persistence, determination, and hard work!
So ladies remember... I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!

I feel like it's been forever since I've been in this thread. Congrats treblk!!! You're my inspiration for this week! I have not exercised since SUNDAY! I went skating with the school last Friday and got a GREAT cross-training workout (I skated for a total of ~2.5 hours). I put together furniture over the weekend, did some shopping, ran/walked 3 miles on Sunday, and haven't done anything since. So when I run tomorrow, I'ma prolly be a mess.
I've gained back about half of the weight I lost from the FS diet, but a lot of it is probably water (TOTM is upon me). I thought it was all in my head being hungry all the time, but since I haven't run this week, I have not been as ravenous as before. And not even junk food, like, seriously hungry for meals. And it's the end of the school year so kids are having little parties and bringing in food and ordering pizza and chicken wings... I'm dyin' over here. Seriously. And I've had four drinks this week. I can't even tell you the last time I had alcohol (I think it was in March). So I need to get it back in gear. Barely maintaining.
BB91, congrats, congrats, congrats!!!!! Size 8's and 10's?! GO 'HEAD GIRLIE!!!! That's AWESOME news!!! I have a pair of size 10 jeans that don't fit at all. But I have a size 10 jean skirt that 'fits' but fits funny in the back. I'm not sure I'm ready to wear it.
TREBLK!!!! Guess where I'm going during my free bells??? The library. Guess WHY... YOU on a Diet (on CD) finally came in!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! I'm going to listen during my runs over the next three weeks. I'm SO excited!!!
Have a safe holiday weekend, y'all!!! I'm going to do my best not to overeat. But the Taste of Cincinnati is already calling my name.

Soror, I have been doing the flex since last june and just started the Core, but I still counts points, I'm just eating mostly fruits and veggies, with a bit of whole wheat carbs and that's how I mixed FS with Core. I would only eat oatmeal (the oatmeal that takes a long time to cook) in the morning, salad or grilled veggies for lunch, with fruits in between when I was hungry. for dinner I would do a bean dish like a lettuc wrap. I got real creative and it worked.

Ideal I hear you, that's why I combined FS with Core, so that way I won't gain it back if I eat the "wrong" things. I had several glasses of wine this weekend at a wine festivel, I had BBQ yesterday with a small side of potato salad, and ran 3 miles this morning. Still eating my oatmeal in the morning, salad or veggies in the afternoon and maybe some brown rice in the evening.
But I tell you one thing..when you can't have all the "wrong" food is when you start craving it more.
