ok i think the ONLY thing she could have been uncool about is that you pushed another guy off of her and told him excuse me but im trying to hook up. there is a chance she was mad bc he was hitting on her, and then hearing that she could have thought "oh no, *another* guy trying to hook up with me"
personally i think what you did was awesome...i would have had a drink with you and thanked you a million times for getting rid of that jerk for me. as for girls giving you the wrong numbers...they sound like morons who dont know a good thing when they meet him.
