I hate putting holes in cloth of any kind as Otter said. Tacky for sure.

If one notices, in most jackets there are no button holes anymore either.

So, just be gentle where your pin is going in and to what!!!!

It is not only hard for some of MY LARGER Brothers, it is hard for short Brothers with My and others build too!

It used to be (maybe still is) custom at some chapters (like Murray State)
to use their AM pins as tie tacks after initiation. I've tried it a couple of
times but usually use the small CnC pin for a tie tac.....for my ties with
the little hole in them! ha ha!
