Food: I would go to Joe T Garcias in Fort Worth. Must for people that haven't been in Fort Worth much at all. Tex Mex with incredible margaritas.

Dallas: (most of these are near SMU and close to Uptown and Downtown......not hard to find.....just tell a cabbie the name and he will know.)

Gypsy Tea Room is right in the heart of Deep Ellum. You know, the place you said not to go.
Also, Cedar Springs is the gay area, not Lower Greenville or Deep Ellum.

I said Deep Ellum can be fun...but I wouldn't go there looking for great nightlife. I really shouldn't have put Gypsy Tea Room on there considering everytime I have gone it has been rented out for some reason or another.

.......and I have seen plenty of gays on Greenville. I am well aware of where things are in Dallas.....I am there quite often and have family in Highland Park.

Mac, we're trying to book a hotel just in case, where is a good area to stay. I tried getting into the Hyatt but its all booked up now because I waited. I'm not looking for anything extravagant as we'll probably just end up letting other friends use it, but whats a decent area of town to look for hotels?

I would look for places off of 75 around Lovers Ln. and Knox/Henderson St. I know there is a Raddison that a bunch of guys from here stay at over OU/TX weekend....This area is right around SMU/Highland Park and is very nice and close to just about everything. The Adams Mark is also extremely popular among Texas and OU students during the game weekend.....also a convenient locations and offers good ride services to the Cotton Bowl.

The Park Cities area has some nice hotels.....i've stayed at the Park Cities Hilton a couple time, pretty nice. Obviously if you are looking to throw it down a little more and have more than a couple splitting the room.......I would suggest the Mansion, Hotel Zaza, The Crescent, or the Fairmont. Higher priced rooms.....but not terrible if you have a few guys paying for it together.

That's where we always stay whenever we go to Dallas. I like that hotel!

HIJACK

I was in the gym in my red Georgia shirt, and I saw a guy in his orange Gators hoodie. When we crossed paths, I had to tell him, "This will be the only month I'll ever cheer for you guys. Go SEC!" He smiled and simply said, "Thank you." I love the SEC!

haha.

Cheer for us too!!!

Geaux Tigers! Go Gators!

I'm praying for a Florida win and an LSU win, of course.

Final Standings:

1. Florida
2. LSU
(ok, so maybe I'm wishful thinking!)

Go SEC
