I think part of the issue is also how the Canadian legal system defines "sex" - for example Bill Clinton most certainly had sex according Canadian laws... Sex doesn't only mean intercourse, it includes any sort of sexual contact or congress. Of course there is still some controversy over the fact that the age of consent for sodomy/anal-sex is still 18.

As for the weird religious marriage thing, that only happens with hicks in America, in weird states nobody cares for (ie anything outside of ny and ca), or developing countries.

We have our hicks and "mountain-folk" too... but really the majority of cults/sects that defend this right are from good'ol Alberta (we like to keep our religious nuts and fundies in one province).

I didn't realize you guys had a national law that allows people to pork 14 year olds. I hear the strip clubs are good too.

Yes our strip clubs are good... the strippers can well strip - and of course the booze can flow like expensive water as well in stripclubs. In fact a new trend is the members-only "hedonism clubs" where anyone and everyone seems to stip, with fetish nights and/or swingers nights usually once a week.
