I don't think people that are Anti-AI should be posting in the AI forum at all.

If they cannot contribute positively to the discussion and only want to argue and discourage others and argue on who and who shouldn't be seeking AI, when the HQ and local AA makes those decisions, then they shoudn't be allowed to post on the forum.

The AI bashing needs to stop, because that is all the AI Forum has turned out to be.

I think a good general rule of thumb is that if it appears in the Bible, it shouldn't be profanity. I.e. ass, hell and damn (and possibly others) are not profanity.

We should use more biblical profanities. It could make discussion more interesting.

Example:

Please just take it from a fairly new person on this board, and I've been reading this fairly interesting discussion.

I can see why this forum is really a bad idea to exist. I, like some others, happen to come across this forum and saw this thread. Obviously, it "IMPLIED" us some "REALLY WRONG" info that mislead us, despite whether it was intentionally misleading or not.

AI is invitation only - this was mislead by certain long journey posts that gave hopeful PNAM the illusion that we can do it to. That's why it's probably not a good idea to give special attention to these posts by making a seperate forum. Have them post in their respective GLO forums. I'm sure most members DO NOT want to mislead people.

The sticky about the the list of successful AI's should probably be taken off as well. While I understand that it's great to celebrate these successful women for making it through, it also allows PNAM to play guessing game as to which GLO does AI or what not. As most of you put it, these ladies are members, not second class citizens, so I personally do not see the need to post a list of AIs when it can give a potential to mislead people.

Also I DO NOT think that members on this forum are Anti AI. I've been reading this forum and just can't see anything about bashing AI.

Also for the mods, I notice the thread about non-collegiate sororities has been taken down. I personally found it really useful, so I would hope to see it back. Also directing PNAM to nationals, or ever doing research on their local AA would be a way to go, if they do not have any ties or whatsoever. If they have friends in a sorority, encourage them to talk to them and help out with their chapter or whatsoever.

So i guess my point is that this forum will MISLEAD people. A sticky would be good enough to do the explaining. GC shouldn't even take the burden of modding this forum...

That's just my 2 cents...

Whoa! Wait just a second here. These are OUR organizations that are involved. How can you say that just because I'm anti-AI I shouldn't post? That's even MORE of a reason to post. This forum and what may or may not happen to it will have an effect on our organizations.

Who do you think makes up the AA? WE do!

Considering that the potential AI does not disclose the sorority they are seeking until after an invitation has been extended, YOU don't have the authorization to speak for an organization WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHICH ORGANIZATION THEY ARE JOINING! NPC does not have a general AI policy, so any "advice" you would contribute, as someone who is anti-AI, would be plain discouraging, and what applies to your organization, may not apply to another.

Not trying to be snarky, but it isn't just the Anti-AI-Forum people who are contributing to the "fights". It takes two to tango. Both sides are guilty of causing tension. Which, in my opinion, is precisely why there needs to be a solution put into place ASAP.

ReachTheLimit, you've already put every single sorority woman on this board on an ignore mode of your very own because you have ignored the comprehensive advice and general feelings of GC sorority women regarding those unaffiliated women who seek out AI when AI is not intended in this way at this time. Few on GC are anti-AI as a process. Many are opposed to an AI Forum that fosters sorority shopping, perpetuating the myth that AI is alumnae recruitment or that wanting to know something about a sorority equals having the right to that information.

Put me on ignore or don't. I don't take either as a personal threat or a gift. You have the free will to do as you please, and to feel compelled to respond or not to anyone's posts. You're also free to not post or leave the GC community at any time if you dislike the posters. Your choice.
