i'm the only greek in my family (my family is pretty small tho). i don't know much about my dad's side however.. i would be surprised if any of them were greek. i would love any kids i have to someday go greek.
i have to add another into the "the one-and-only family member to be greek" pile.. in fact, even though my extended family is QUITE large, i'm even the first to graduate four years of college. my brother did, however, graduate from a tech school with an associates degree, and HE was the first member to actually ever graduate - but being a tech school there were no greek organizations of any kind.
I'm also the only NPC greek in my family My mom was a Lambda Sigma Alpha, which I assume was local at her school. I know my uncle was in a fraternity, but I can't remember which one...
My sister-in-law is an AXiD, but I don't know if that counts.
I am the first in my family, but that's reasonable considering we emigrated from the UK ten years ago It was tough trying to explain a. what greek life was and b. why I wanted to join it.

I have now imagined this conversation in a horrendous mix of British accents and stereotypes
