They are big because they have been there for a long time, so they think long term because they are not going anywhere. The military industrial complex aside, the pharmaceutical sector makes more money than any other part of just about every major industrialized nation's economy. When you understand that maybe then you will see how "Big Pharma" is in big with the Government and realize the truth.
