Really, who cares. That site shows the very definition of "helicopter parents". Overinvolved parents lording over their child's every decision, obsessing about everything they do and how great they all are, bragging, showing off, and generally all around trying to live vicariously through their children's accomplishments. Trying to explain Greek life to them would be like trying to teach a pig to sing.
There's a fantastic article in the latest Atlantic Monthly called "Gifted Children, Stupid Parents" or something similar about all this kind of stuff and how some parents actually have sued the school for their kids' emotional distress when they don't get straight A's. The article concludes with an admissions officer from MIT telling about 2 letters he got: one from a parent threatening a lawsuit because they didn't admit his son, and another from the son saying "thank you for not admitting me, this is the best day of my life."
