I didn't see an "exotic look". I saw a beautiful African American woman.

I apologize, but I think this is the stuff that makes white people uncomfortable. Why is it necc to make a huge deal out of her being black? She's pretty, sure, but as someone who's worked on the hill, there is a lot more out there. I doubt many staffers are going "man that white girl is hot." However, the incredible emphasis put on her being black places a lot of pressure on her. Hopefully we can recognize beautiful girls of all races, without fear of political consequence.

I fail to see where anyone made a "huge deal" out of her ethnicity.

I admit, I was loaded when I wrote that. What I was talking about were the people above in the posts talking about her being african american and not having an exotic look. It almost seemed like the poster who wrote that was angry about the article or something. Sorry for getting in your thread, carry on.

I've worked on the hill too, and I'd say the majority of people are ugly, irritable and poorly dressed.
Anywho, I read the issue - I think Sarah is one of the most beautiful on the list.

You really think so? I mean about the people...I saw many beautiful people when I was there, and most of the people I hung out with (mostly southern offices) were very well dressed.

Eh, you're probably right. I worked as a reporter covering the hill, so I wasn't around all the time. I think because the hill attracts younger, more outgoing people than a lot of jobs in DC, there may be better looking people there than in the rest of the city. DC in general is not a well-dressed city. I also thought a LOT of the people featured in the Hill article weren't very attractive.

The thing about The Hill list is that its not like they really scout it out, they just take nominations. I had 2 women in my office who were drop dead gorgeous, especially compared to some of the people who made it.
