I warned my brother about this before we went to see the movie. It felt like Kevin Spacey,Lex Luthor, was carrying the entire film. Kate Bosworth did the best she could with the script she was given. They should have made the Jimmy Olsen character more of college intern as opposed to an adult. The material used for the Superman costume made it look cheap. Certain parts that could've have played up weren't used because they will most likely go into the future sequel.
The special effects saved the film from being a total clunker. I agree the tribute to Christopher and Dana Reeve was a nice touch.
