My sister taped it, so we watched it last night....WOW.
She looked so trailer park! It was wrong on so many levels...I just wanted to jump in the TV and smack her. Seriously, spit out the gum, cover your icky boobs, brush your hair, and get rid of the mascara clumps!
And it was really awful that they kept flashing back to the Christmas concert, when she was put together and speaking like a normal person. It shows you how far she's fallen.

I think it's all a very carefully planned publicity stunt. Young celebrity who once had a thriving career suddenly turns into a hot mess. But then, magically, she gets a hold of herself, dumps her husband and turns her life around. I can see this happening in another year. She tries to make a comeback a la Madonna by dressing chic and being a role model.
I just don't believe for a second that she looked at herself in the mirror before the interview and thought, "I look hot. This is how I want to present myself to millions of people." She's not smart but her PR machine is. I really think they're fooling us all.

You know, my mom and I were just taking about that (the idea that maybe the way she looked was just a PR move).
We were thinking that maybe her publicists wanted her to appear more "frazzled stay-at-home mom" so she could appear more "human" to everyone watching. Only it backfired and she wound up looking like trailer trash. A little too "human" for most people.
I really hope she saw the tape and was horrified. Maybe she'll start looking less crappy.

Very. Madonna has gotten herself together. I wouldn't want to distance myself from that influence.

i sort of feel bad for her and the negative attention she gets, but all she had to do was move to timbucktoo to avoid any type of press.
