I agree. It is so odd that this is the approach that she would take that I do understand their hesitation at allowing the evidence. It does kinda seem like she could be framing him, esp. the way that she emphasizes that she would never commit suicide b/c she loves her kids. I mean, wouldn't you love them enough to fight for your life so that they could have a mother around? I would be cautious to allow this evidence w/no option to counter or cross-examine the statements as well.
