When I ordered my wedding gown, the woman wanted me to order extra length, since I was "tall". I'm 5'6", not 6'!! I refused to do so, and it was a perfect length! I did, however, lose a lot of worrying weight from the time I ordered until the wedding, and the waist had to be taken in 8" - which turned my V neck into a plunging neckline! Hardly the demure look I was going for.
